18th century french ornament painting

Renowned French decorative artist Pascal Amblard will teach the methods of painting the graceful Rococo ornament of 18th century France. Ornament is once again on-trend in decorative painting, and Mr. Amblard is one of the living masters of this style, and has been awarded a prestigious O1 visa in order to teach this workshop.

Participating artists will paint a of Singerie , a light ornamental style with many possibilities: suitable for framing, or for use as wall decor, panel ornament, or cabinet inset. The work will be painted at full scale, using high quality oil and alkyd paints on canvas 30" x 60" tall. Classwork will include transfer techniques, mixing colors, understanding scale, and effective brushwork.

Classes are held in a large and fully-equipped working mural studio. Artists of all levels of experience will have ample opportunity to challenge and advance their technique in this workshop.
